Story So Far
The Craft Sequence is a long series, with the first book published over a decade ago. If you want to refresh your memory before delving into the new books (or just fancy reading them, I’d love that), check out the series below.
Entire Story So Far
If you want the narrative without dramatis personae or my thoughts on the importance of each book, this is the one for you!
Last First Snow (and what came before)
Gods! Necromancers! Wars between gods and necromancers! Then 40 years of peace (?) before the first book in the Craft Sequence LAST FIRST SNOW when wars almost reignited in Dresediel Lex.
Two Serpents Rise
Demons infested the water of Dresediel Lex, and Caleb was convinced his manic-pixie-dream-Mal wasn’t involved but of course she was. Shocker.
Three Parts Dead
Gods are murdered, and resurrected. An abuser is finally brought down. There’s a vampirate. ELAYNE KEVARIAN.
Four Roads Cross
The world learns that Seril is back from the dead, and tries to send her to the grave again, Tara meets the Dresediel Lex crew, and Denovo's allies return to finish his work.
Full Fathom Five
Visit the tropical paradise of Kavekana, and follow investment banker priestess Kai as she uncovers the mystery of murdered idols; also poets spouting prophecy, more terrifying faceless cops, and the badass that is Izza.
Ruin of Angels
Kai, Izza and Tara help start a revolution in Agdel Lex, fight against a desert of dying gods, and go to space. Well, Kai goes to space. And there, she hears legs skittering, coming for the Domain - the space spiders. And they’re oh so hungry.
Dead Country
Tara returns home for her father’s funeral, and picks up a stray as an apprentice on the way. Simultaneously a meditation on grief and memory, and a fantasy horror about demons from beyond the stars.
